New Journey Residence
Meet Our Staff

Lydia is the New Journey Residence Housing Manager/RN. She has been in nursing leadership roles for several decades which started as a charge nurse for a nursing home.  Since that time, Lydia has worked in both acute care and long term care with such roles as an Infection Control Practitioner, Director of Nursing, Director of Assisted Living Services over several facilities and a clinical documentation specialist.  Lydia has also provided consultation services for an attorney in order to act as an advocate for several vulnerable adults of Minnesota.  These roles have afforded her the opportunity to become knowledgeable in state and federal regulations, best practices and quality measures for health care facilities as well as developing expertise in patient assessment and care planning for patients in multiple health care settings.

Throughout her career, Lydia has held to one common goal:  to provide expert care for the vulnerable adults while maintaining a clear focus of the individual's needs.  This has created a practice of resident focused care.  Lydia's heart's desire and role at New Journey is to lead the facility team in providing care for our residents that not just fulfills their needs, but surpasses their expectations.  Lydia does this through being ever-present and available to the residents and staff she serves.  Lydia's office door is usually open.  But if she is not there, you will find her attending and participating in activities, eating meals with residents, assisting staff with cares, visiting with residents or their families in order to offer a listening ear and find opportunities to provide better service.
